ANIMAL CONTROL/STRAYS
The Humane Society of Berks County provides no animal control services in Berks County.
If you require assistance with a found stray animal, please contact your municipality to determine who performs animal control in your area.
In order to cover the costs of providing care for stray animals, any stray brought to the Humane Society of Berks County will be subject to a $25 per animal surrender fee. You may avoid this fee by utilizing the contracted animal control agency for your municipality.

DOG LICENSING
Your pet is your responsibility! License your dog now. It's the law and it may save your pet's life. You may purchase a current license at the HSBC, the County Treasurer's Office, or many other locations throughout Berks County. Or you can download an application for a license by mail by clicking here.
