VOLUNTEERS

The Humane Society of Berks County relies heavily on the hundreds of volunteers who make our work possible.  Whether it's help in the kennel or cattery, data entry, client greeting, special event support, or community outreach, all our volunteers help the HSBC fulfill its mission and stretch every charitable dollar for maximum effect. You can help us by volunteering at any of our three locations in Berks County. Before you join us as a volunteer, we ask that you attend a brief orientation where you'll learn about the HSBC and the valuable services our volunteers provide to people and animals. We also ask that you complete a Pennsylvania State Police PATCH background check. This service is provided by the PSP for a fee of $10.00. Click here to get started.
